Message Preferences in Settings

This section of the Provider app enables you as a provider to set preferences for where messages appear in the Messages section of the Provider app. Click on the Preferences tab at the top of the Settings page, and set preferences for the following:

Keep messages I am assigned to open until I close them - The system has an option for a message thread to automatically close if a designated number of days has elapsed since there was activity on it. However, some providers prefer to keep their messages open and in their My Open queue until they have reviewed them and manually closed them. This is what will happen if you toggle this option on.

Patient replies return to team pool/queue - Before a provider responds to a patient message, a triage team member often reviews the message and assigns the message to them. Once the provider responds to the message, it by default stays in the provider’s My Open queue. However, you may prefer that patient responses return to the general team queue to go through the triage process again. If so, you can toggle this option on.
