Out of Office Responder

When providers go on vacation or are out of the office for other reasons, their patients' messages still need to be answered to ensure that the patients receive proper care. The Vacation Responder enables a provider to designate another provider to answer patients' messages during the first provider’s absence.

To access the Out of Office Responder, you must have roles and permissions to use the Provider app in Atrium. If you haven't been assigned a role, contact Tendo Support.

Login to Atrium. The Provider app should display, but if it doesn’t, click on the navigation menu in the top left corner, and choose Provider from the dropdown menu.

Select Settings on the left main navigation bar, then Click on the Out of Office tab.

A list of out-of-office events for which you have designated another provider to respond to your messages displays.

The list includes the reason for your absence, the dates, the name of the responder you have chosen, and the status of the event.

To add a new out-of-office event, click on the + icon in the upper right corner.

An Add Out of Office modal appears in which you can enter information about your out-of-office event.

Input a name for the event.

Click on the start and end dates to set dates for the duration of the event to bring up a calendar on which you can click on the dates.

Start to type the name of the provider who will respond to your messages while you are gone. As you type, the provider’s name will display. Click it.

Click Save.

The event you created will now appear in the out-of-office event list.

To edit an existing event, click on the Edit button on the right of the event in the list view.

Change any of the input fields that you want to change, and click Save.
