Inviting Patients to Tendo

Send invitations to Tendo’s Patient Care Journey app to patients in the Patients section of the Tendo Admin app.

You must have admin roles and permissions to use the Admin app. If you haven't been assigned them and given the url for the app, contact your organization's IT admin. They can work with the Tendo Customer Engagement team to provide access and provide you with a url for the app. Tendo employees should contact Tendo Support for roles assignments.

Log into the app url. You should go directly to the Admin app unless you also have roles and permissions to use another Tendo app. If so, navigate to Admin in the upper left navigation dropdown menu. Click on Patients in the left main navigation bar.

You will see a list of patients who are in Tendo’s system for your organization. Each patient’s name and email are displayed in the list.

A colored tag on the right of each patient's name in the list shows the status of that patient's invite to the Patient Care Journey app.

  • Drafted - Indicates that a patient has no record of having been invited to Tendo.
  • Invite Sent - Indicates that an invite has been sent to the patient.
  • Consented - Indicates that the patient has agreed to Tendo’s consent form which allows Tendo to import their medical information.
  • Complete - Indicates that the patient completed the signup process to join the patient-facing app.

To find a specific patient that you want to send an invite to, search for the patient in the search bar at the top of the list, or scroll through the list to find the patient. Click their name in the list.

You will see a detail view of information about that patient on the right. This view includes the information that is used during the patient signup and onboarding process in the Patient Care Journey app, such as the patient's name, email, and Zip Code. This view also includes their patient identifier in the Tendo system.

Copy the patient identifier. Then click on the … button at the top right of the list view and choose Invite Patient.

A modal displays with a field in which you can paste the patient identifier. Click Add to send the patient an invite.

Bulk Inviting Patients

To bulk invite patients, you need to have a CSV file that includes the necessary information for each patient invitee. To download a template to use in creating this file, click on the … button at the top of the list view and choose Bulk Invite Patients.

In the modal that appears, click Download CSV. A CSV template with columns containing the information you need to input for each patient invitee will download to your computer.

Add to the CSV file the names and information for each patient you want to invite, and then drag and drop the file onto the modal or click to browse for and upload the CSV from your computer. Click Add to upload the list of patients and invite them to the Patient Care Journey app.
