Sharing a Report

To share a report, navigate to the … dropdown menu in the upper right corner of the report, and click on Share.

A modal will appear on which you can see who the owner of the report is, and who has access to it.

The report owner initially has private access to a report, but can modify the access level by sharing the report with other people. The owner determines what access these people can have to the report:

  • Edit - Allows them to edit the report and share it with others
  • View Only - View only permission with no access and sharing capability.

Search for people you want to share the report with in the search bar at the top, and then choose which access level you want them to have in the dropdown menu to the right of the search bar. In this way, you can add multiple people to the list of People with Access.

To change the access of anyone on this list, click on the colored tab to the right of that person. A dropdown menu will appear in which you can choose three options:

  • Editor
  • View Only
  • Remove - This will remove the person from the People with Access list.

Click Save to share the report with the people you have added.

These modifications change the behavior of the report itself for the user who is accessing it. Those with view only access can’t Edit, Rename, Copy or Delete a report as the owner can. Those with Editor access can edit the report.

Access is to a single report, so this owner may be able to perform the above actions on one report, while the next report in the list does not allow them to take any action on it because they aren’t the owner and haven’t been given any permissions.
