Managing Providers

Provider allows you to manage provider's roles and determine their searchability in the Patient Care Journey app.

To manage Provider roles at a healthcare organization, log in to that organization’s environment in Atrium, and select Admin from the dropdown menu at the top of the left main navigation bar.

Click on Providers on the navigation bar.

A list of providers will display.

Details

Click on a provider’s name in the list, and a detail view for that provider will display to the right. Make sure that the Details tab at the top of the detail view is selected.

Under the Details tab, you can see the provider’s name, email, specialties and other information about them, an external link for them if they have one, whether a patient can search for them in the Patient Care Journey app, and identifiers for them in the system. This page is a handy reference page for you to find information about providers.

Editing a Provider’s Searchable Status

To edit a provider’s searchable status, click on the … button in the upper right corner of the Details view and select Edit.

An Edit Provider modal will appear. You can choose whether you want the provider to be searchable in the provider search of the Patient Care Journey app. Click Yes or No, and then Save.

Roles

Click on the Roles tab to see a list of the provider’s roles.

Each row in the table represents a role to which the provider has been assigned.

The columns in the table include:

Location Name - Where this provider sees patients in a role.

Location identifier - The identifier for this location in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Accepts New Patients - Yes in this column indicates that this provider accepts new patients. This will be No if the provider isn’t accepting new patients.

Active - This provider is active, so their information will appear in the Patient Care Journey app.

Bookable - This provider is bookable in the Tendo app. Not all providers are bookable, as some handle their scheduling by phone.

Appointment Type - This designates the type of appointment that the provider is available for. Common types are Office Visits and Virtual Visits, but there also are a number of other types depending on the healthcare organization and type of provider.

Organization - The healthcare organization with which the provider is associated. Some providers may have roles at more than one organization.

Adding Roles

To add a role, click on the blue Add Role button in the top right. A modal will display with a table of roles that are assigned to the provider. Each column represents one of the above attributes, plus there is a column for the provider's specialty. The details tab must include the provider’s specialty to create a role.

As you work through the modal, select choices to set up the way that the provider’s scheduling for various appointment locations and types will display and function in the Patient Care Journey app. You can select only one location or organization for each provider role, but you can choose multiple types of visits.

Click Submit to create the new role.

Editing a Role

To edit a role, click on the … button on the right on the role's row in the Roles tab. Select Edit.

The Provider Role modal will appear, and you can make the desired changes to it. Click Submit.

Deleting a Role

Testing a Role
