Managing Patients on Waitlists

To manage patients on existing waitlists, navigate in Atrium to Provider and click on Waitlists on the left main navigation bar.

You can search in the search bar for a specific waitlist.

When you click on a waitlist, details about patients who are on it display.

To move a patient up to the top of the list, click on the vertical ellipsis button to the right of the patient’s name and select Mark Urgent. A small colored flame will appear on the row indicating that the patient’s status is urgent, and they will be placed on or with other urgent patients at the top of the patient list.

To remove the Urgent status, click on the vertical ellipsis button, and select Unmark Urgent.

To remove a patient from the list, click on the vertical ellipsis button, and select Remove. The patient’s name will be removed from the list.

Adding a Patient to a Waitlist

To add a patient to a waitlist, click on the + Add button in the top right corner.

An Add Patient modal will display.

Start to type the patient’s name in the Patient Name input field. As you do so, a list of options will appear, and you can click on one.


If it is urgent that the patient see you or a member of your team, select the Mark Urgent checkbox.

Click Add.
